My name is Claire Schader and I founded Making Moves in 1996 in London offering groups, workshops and individual sessions working through mythology, archetypes, ritual and transformational theatre. My approach is a combination of tools and techniques from drama therapy, theater, personal development and energy work enabling people to set free their creative spirit, express the joy and passion of being alive, and to make radical shifts in their personal and professional lives.
It is the quest for freedom too that is bringing me to the Bay Area, after living in London for nearly thirty years. It is in the Bay Area I experience my own free spirit and where I feel most alive and in touch with my highest potential.
I am currently training practitioners in the UK in my approach and am writing a book Ritual Theatre – the theatre of transformation.

I feel fortunate that I was able to experience Claire’s work during my stay in the UK in both individual and group venues. For me, I found her work to be deeply transformational and incredibly freeing and healing. In my individual session, I worked with an issue that I had processed many different ways and was still bound by for over two years. With Claire’s facilitation and guidance I was able to explore, identify, own and integrate aspects of this plaguing issue in ways that I could not get to on my own or with any of my other previous guides/healers/modalities. The judgement-free space which Claire held I felt safe and comfortable enough to explore and heal these parts of my psyche. Walking away from the session, I felt empowered and joyous as if I had reclaimed a lost part of myself, and much more in control of my own energy.

Thanks so much for your workshop. I really got how much of a performance junky I am.
I also got that when I am in the right company and setting improvisation can become a powerful creative producer for me.
It draws on a deeper intelligence from me and the group I am with. In that room of trust that you so beautifully create, I see possibilities for me to express valuable pieces of myself that are not usually that present. I have been sitting with the notion that I am the seventh string on my instrument, and the real delight of that has real meaning for me, a degree of humility that I am played upon by a higher power just as my guitar is played upon.

I loved your workshop! I discovered I could express my Ereshkigal (inner bitch) so beautifully! That is a strong part of myself I don't usually get an opportunity to let out of the cellar.
